Common Errors

ProviderModelNotFoundError

Cause
The requested model is not registered or available in the current provider.
Fix
Switch to a different model using the model picker, or check that the provider supports the model you are requesting.

Rate Limit Errors (HTTP 429)

Cause
You have exceeded your daily message quota or hit a per-minute rate limit.
Fix
Wait for the cooldown period (approximately 25 minutes). FiveForge will automatically fall back to an available model if possible.

Sidecar Won't Start

Cause
The local sidecar process failed to initialize.
Fix
Check the application logs for detailed error messages. Restart the FiveForge application. Reinstall FiveForge if the issue persists.

Authentication Failed

Cause
Your session has expired or your credentials are invalid.
Fix
Sign out from the account menu and sign back in with your credentials.

Connection Lost

Cause
The connection to the AI provider was interrupted.
Fix
FiveForge will attempt to reconnect automatically. If the issue persists, restart the application.

Model Unavailable

Cause
The selected model is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or high demand.
Fix
Switch to a different model or wait for the cooldown period to expire.
