Sessions & Chat History
How sessions work in FiveForge Desktop: auto-titling, history preservation, workspace isolation, and session management.
What is a Session?
A session is a conversation with the AI. Each session maintains its own context, history, and message thread.
Creating Sessions
- Click the New Session button in the sidebar.
- Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+N (macOS).
Session Organization
Sessions are organized by date:
- Today
Sessions created today.
- Yesterday
Sessions from yesterday.
- Previous 7 Days
Sessions from the past week.
- Older
Sessions older than 7 days.
Auto-Titling
Sessions are automatically titled based on the conversation content so you can quickly identify them later.
Session History
Your full conversation history is preserved within each session. You can scroll back through previous messages at any time.
Managing Sessions
Right-click a session or use the context menu to:
- Rename
Give the session a custom title.
- Delete
Permanently remove the session and its history.
- Share
Generate a shareable link to the session.
Per-Workspace Sessions
Sessions are tied to the workspace in which they were created. Switching workspaces shows only the sessions for that workspace.
